What are habits/ productivity?
Growing productive habits can be one of the most influential aspects of our lives. By creating either positive or negative habits, we are able to influence our day-to-day lives in a way that shapes us as individuals. In addition to building habits, if we can form a more productive lifestyle, we can begin to approach the idea of success in our lives.
How do you fall away from a productive lifestyle & good habits?
It is so easy to allow ourselves to give in to the temptations of social media or rely solely on others for our everyday needs. But, by giving yourself the chance to start loosening the reigns on your dedicated mentality; the habits that you have built up will begin to end up on the bottom of your priority list. Eventually, without nourishing your goals, they become irrelevant. It is crucial to keep growing productive habits in order to stay successful.
How to build good habits
Building good, fulfilling, habits requires a lot of discipline. It is so much easier to cave into the bad habits that society throws at us. Good habits are so much more rewarding. But how can we build and keep these good habits stable? First things first, habits are not something that comes easy. You need to take initiative. Allow yourself to recognize your goals and evaluate your long-term vision. Consistency is going to be your best friend. If you stay on track, you’re growing that positive habit a little bit each day, and you’re getting closer to that long-term goal.
Becoming productive
It is so easy to decide that we are simply “lazy” and just let that take over and we get comfortable with that sense of defeat. By pushing things to the next day, and then the next day, to the point where they don’t get done, our mindset gets to the point where we’re okay with that. Being productive isn’t just an action, it’s a mentality. To start creating a productive lifestyle, start small and make reasonable goals. If you tell yourself you’re going to work out for an hour every day, start a new diet, read for 30 mins, etc. all at once, that could be super overwhelming and you’re going to be setting yourself up to fail.
Instead, start with going to the gym for 30 minutes a day, then maybe a week later, add in that diet, and so on. Allow yourself to grow. Making lists is a super helpful technique. Being able to have a visual and check off your tasks for the day, it’ll give you an extra push of motivation. Again, you want the list to be realistic so that you can set yourself up for success.
Setting yourself up for success
“Set yourself up for success” is a phrase that everyone has heard, probably more times than you’d like. But what exactly does it mean? The simple answer is, that it’s different for everyone. Each individual is going to have their own goals, their own dreams, and their own way to get
there. If someone is moving faster than you, THAT IS OKAY! It is so easy to beat yourself up over what society, friends, and family are doing with their lives. One of the most toxic things we can do is to compare ourselves to those around us.
It is so much easier said than done but stop worrying about others and focus on growing yourself as an individual. By allowing yourself to build good habits, get into a routine, and, become productive, you’re on a great path that’s going to lead you to your goals.
There is a very common misconception that once you reach your original goal, then you’re all set. However, that’s wrong. Once you achieve that first goal, use it to fuel your desire to create another one. The world is constantly going to be growing and changing. Allow yourself to grow with it! Always push yourself and continue to set the bar higher in your life.
It might be a little difficult, but by finding your own way, creating your own goals, & staying to your habits/routines, you can find your own meaning to “set yourself up for success” because that’s what you can do right now. Take the steps and make the changes today. Time isn’t stopping, eventually, the future is going to be right in front of you and you’re going to continue to grow with the lifestyle that you are currently creating.
Overcoming failures
Failure is a part of life. Through failures, we can grow. The most important step to overcoming our downfalls is to acknowledge/recognize them. It’s okay to be human and realize the emotions that you’re having aren’t uncommon and everyone falls. The important part is whether or not you get yourself back up. It is so easy to blame ourselves for all of our shortcomings, but the majority of them are caused by outside sources, a lot of which aren’t even our fault. We can help ourselves out by getting rid of any factors that are out of our control. If there is something that you can’t change, don’t.
As humans, it’s our nature to want to be self-sufficient and do everything by ourselves, but the truth is that we can’t. When everything seems to be going wrong and you feel like giving up, turning to others is going to help pick you up. Family and friends are a support system that is unbeatable. You don’t have to go through your shortcomings alone. Everyone has their weakness, it could be a variety of things, but these weaknesses are the biggest tests, and sometimes we fail. Try and recognize these weaknesses so that you are able to avoid them or build the strength to fight them to prevent yourself from falling again.
Summary
You are capable of such great things. The effort that you put in is what you are going to get out of it. Your goals and your dreams are going to require work and effort. Prove to yourself that you want it, it is attainable and possible if you are willing to do what is necessary. By building crucial habits and creating a productive lifestyle, you are able to set yourself up for success. Start now, the world is waiting.
